What are Utility Commands?

Utility Commands are the backbone of the datapack workflow. Nearly everything possible through Fabric modding can now be done live in-game through commands—no restarts, no reloads.

With hundreds of commands available, most are organized under umbrella categories for easy use and discoverability. These commands integrate deeply with all areas of Minecraft’s code, allowing you to build custom functions with power and flexibility on par with full Java classes. And by mastering the expanded /execute features, the capabilities of Utility Commands increase tenfold, unlocking advanced logic, control, and automation that push datapacks beyond their traditional limits.
